I have the honor to acquaint you for the information of His Excellency the Acting Governor, that on the publication in the Government Gazette of the 28th of February last, Proclamation No. 24 prohibiting the export of material of War to be carried coustivise from the Colony of Hongkong, I caused the same to be rendered into Chinese and forwarded a communication to H. M. Consul at Canton, "Forwarding Letter from the Vice-Roy of the Two Kwang respecting the Proclamation prohibiting the export of Warlike Stores from Hongkong.
